Day#13 Saturday Volume Week#8

Susan Zabransky Hughes Memorial 5K Run/Walk April 27, 2013 Come join us on Saturday, April 27, 2013 at 8:30 a.m. for the Second Annual Susan Zabranksy Hughes Memorial 5K Run/Walk in picturesque Saddle River, New Jersey. Once again, the Run/Walk is being sponsored by the Friends of HackensackUMC. Post-race refreshments, as well as activities for children, will be provided on the grounds of the Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church. This USATF certified 5K run is primarily fast and flat and features chip timing by Compuscore. New this year, cash prizes will be awarded to the top overall male and female finishers, in addition to medals to the top three overall and top age-group winners. The youngest participants will also receive a chocolate medal. Due to the overwhelming success of the inaugural run held in April 2012, the number of runners and walkers for the 2013 Run/Walk will be limited to 1200.

SPONSORSHIP OPPORTUNITIES TO BUILD SUSAN’S SUITE

Proceeds from this event will be donated to the HackensackUMC Foundation to fund Susan’s Suite - a dedicated 10-bed suite for cancer patients in the soon-to-be renovated Emergency & Trauma Center at HackensackUMC. Susan’s Suite will provide the specialized care so vital to patients with all types of cancer in an emergency.
