Benefits of the Earthquake Bar

Earthquake Bar: A 2006 design by Lou and Jim Sietzer. Built to hold huge amount of weight and can be set up in a multitude of ways with bands and weights. Perfectly designed for CrossFit, high performance and functional athletes because it has unique capability of teaching perfect form.

The Bandbell earthquake bar is made of hardened ash wood and durable composite resin. It is 80” in length, weighs 6lbs has 2 inch grooves cut into wood to hold bands. The bar can handle 200+lbs.

The benefits are due to the secret of the Earthquake bar, its revolutionary light design and dynamic use of oscillating kinetic energy. The material used to make these bars does not absorb vibrations like a traditional barbell. Instead, it is designed to increase the vibrations so the bar shakes like an earthquake.

Oscillating Kinetic Energy: With a oscillator the energy is going back and forth between potential and kinetic. At the moment the it is stopped all the energy is in the form of potential energy, at its maximum speed all of it is kinetic.

The earthquake bar conducts and targets kinetic energy to the shoulders, elbows, biceps and lower back to heal and strengthen stabilizing muscles and allow for healthy joint function. Great for rehabbing rotator cuff injuries and strains. Which makes it a “go-to” apparatus for preventative injury.

The bar “bullet proofs” joints by building maximum strength balance and above all flexibility. The bar handles weights in a way to help slow down your process and focuses on form, balance and precision.

In summary the Earthquake bar is and essential training tool for those recovering from injuries and those wanting to focus less on total weight and more on form, balance and precision. The benefits are real and so is the challenge of using the apparatus even with little to moderate weight. If u want to truly take your training to the next level or you are trying to get back to form after an injury the earthquake bar is a must.
